Well, 'Guyslop' is a term that's based on my earlier days in the Vs. Ourple Guy community, when I would affectionately label the things I drew as 'Slop'. This was because it mainly all fell under general fandomite shenanigans- ships, headcanons, AUs, that's what Guyslop is all about! As a tag, it's just a broad catchall term for any ourple art I make because most, if not all of it, is self indulgent nonsense that I would never put on the main character tag. The tag itself, however, does have it's own accompanying AU, which is where the main designs featured here are from. Think of them like my 'headcanon' designs for characters, since that's essentially all this AU is. All that is to say- These guys are my own interpretations of the characters, and a lot of them are very INACCURATE interpretations! If you want canon-abiding content, this is not the place to go to for that.
As a reminder, #guyslop is not exclusive to this AU or these designs, which is why my other AU designs will also be featured here.
Since Guyslop isn't exactly a self-contained storyline or anything, it's really more just about the different interactions between the different characters and the specific ways they're grouped together that allows for interesting group dynamics to play out. They're essentially actors with roles to be placed in based on whatever the story or current scenario requires of them. If you made a storyline about them going out shopping then it would then become a fun little game of How much can these guys take this simple trip to the store off the rails in a way that seems both fun yet matches all their individual characters.
The guys themselves tend to have their own pre-established groups and duos that I like to place them in, though any of them are free to interact in any way just depending on what I'm feeling. It's really just about having fun with the characters that I like with no true overarching narrative outside of AU exclusive stuff, but the AUs are like a whole other thing that we're Not gonna get into rn.
Also should be mentioned but no ships are canon to Guyslop lol. There's obviously certain pairs that I favor but none of them are canon it's all one big free-for-all.
As I stated before, most of the guys have an established group or duo that I like to set them up with. When it comes to individual duos there's a lot so I won't go over all of them just yet (and they're all mostly self explanatory). The main group of course is the main 4 guys Vloo, Vreen, Ved and Varoon, but when it comes to the secondary guys it gets a little more complicated since they're mostly just fun attachment pieces to the main group with no real group of their own. These guys tend to lean more into the indivdual duos rather than groups. Ourple and Ved are a duo, Olue and Varoon are a duo, so on and so forth.
The only other main group are the buddies who are mostly a group since they all actually have some sort of connection to each other unlike the guys who are kinda just friends because I said so. Goth and Hate are married and live with Cool who's brothers with Blink so it's only natural they'd all be together a lot (even if Blink doesn't tend to show up a lot since he's got his own stuff going on).
There's also a technical third group which consists of Ycarlet, Googee, and Zombabe but that's a whole other thing I'll get into later eventually.
There's also, yknow, NWAN and PAP, Vloo and Vreen's original universes respectively and the little freaks that reside within them. NWAN and PAP are both parallel universes of FNAF (NWAN or Nightwatch At Ned's being V-Core FNAF and PAP or Patrolling At Petey's being Starstruck FNAF) and so they contain parallel versions of the FNAF cast (for the most part anyways) with Vreen and Vloo being their universes version of William Afton. The other guys have their own universes but my autism does not lie with them I'm sorry, only Vreen and Vloo for you all.
Anyways it's easy to forget these guys are meant to be Afton in the midst of all these guyslop shenanigans. I should probably mention that yes, Guyslop as an AU does extend to both NWAN and PAP and the characters from both also have their own guyslop designs and the like. To be honest, you'll probably NWAN stuff the most out of everything since compared to everything else in Guyslop NWAN is like, THE thing I'm obsessed with.
But yeah, again, parallel universes. They have their own versions of Henry, Mike, CC, Charlie (though NWAN doesn't seem to have one anymore unfortunately), etc., but one other thing to mention is that since these universes are based on VOG, they also have characters specific to that mod. They both have their own Sinnoh, NGT, and Prange (as his own character) variants. Isn't that neat?
